The Hidden Life of Dogs by Elizabeth Marshall Thomas

I love to go thrift store shopping and recently happened to find this great book, by Elizabeth Marshall Thomas.  You can probably find it on sites like Amazon. Thomas shares the nightly roaming adventures of their husky, Misha, in their suburban territory in Massachusetts. Later, Misha mated with Maria, another Siberian Husky producing several puppies. Another member of their household was their asthmatic Pug, Bingo, who defended the home territory. She shares the hierarchy of the husky dogs and how they form themselves into the equivalent of a wolf pack. You learn how dogs think and what they want. I certainly learned much about dog consciousness and this book may give you insight into your own puppy.  Thoroughly  recommend you pick up a copy.
